Northport School District is committed to providing nourishing meals to all of our students and staff. We offer the National School Breakfast  and Lunch program to ensure students are offered well-balanced meals at an affordable price.

Students may purchase meals individually. However, each student has their own meal card with an assigned number and we encourage them to purchase their meals using a weekly or monthly pre-payment option. Payments are received in the Cafeteria Office.  We do not have the ability to make change so please send the proper amount of money with your student.  Through our Skyward program in the near future, you will be able to pay for your students meals with your credit card.

Please feel free to come & eat breakfast or lunch with your student at any time. At least one day advanced noticed is appreciated.

For the past 5 years Northport School District's Food Service Program has been the reciepient of the USDA Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Grant.  This grant provides mid morning fresh fruit & vegetable snacks to all Pre School through 8th grade students.    We feel blessed to again have this program and want to thank USDA for making continued funding available.  Support your Local Farmers!  It helps our lunch program as well.

 National School Lunch Program

The National School Lunch Program promotes the health and well-being of children by providing meals in our public schools. In order that every student has access to these meals, income eligibility guidelines have been created to provide free or reduced price meals to those children most in need. These guidelines are based on the federal income poverty guidelines and are revised annually.

We would like to remind you that you may apply for meal benefits any time during the school year. If you should have a decrease in household income, an increase in household size, or become unemployed, or receive Basic Food, TANF, or FDPIR, you may be eligible for benefits and may fill out an application at that time. You may pick up a form at the Northport School Office or in the Cafeteria. If you have additional questions regarding the free or reduced program, please call the Food Service dept. at 509-732-4870.
